How We Package Our Plants
All of our indoor plants are shipped in their nursery pots, ready to be displayed. The majority of our succulents are shipped bareroot - this is mainly due to the weight of the potting mix the succulents are grown in.
All plant pots are wrapped in compostable bags so that all of the potting mix stays intact. Each plant is wrapped in sturdy cardboard that we collect from local small businesses. Orders are then carefully packed into 100% recycled boxes. Old newspapers are shredded by us and used as protective cushioning for plants. Each box is marked Fragile and Live Plants, Do Not Leave In Sun. Our number one priority is that your plants arrive in happy and healthy condition.
Plants can vary in appearance due to growing conditions, the seasons and maturity. The plant photos on our website are photos of Flower & Twig stock however, the plants received may be slightly different in appearance.
*Please take into consideration that some plants may get stressed during transit. Minimal leaf yellowing or minor damage that perhaps occurs may not be preventable. Sometimes during transit the colour of certain plants becomes dull due to lack of chlorophyll (light to photosynthesise). Once unboxed and back into its ideal conditions your plant will become vibrant in colour again.
Plants may also suffer a damaged or bruised leaf during transit - they are fragile and unfortunately it can occur from being shipped around Australia in a box for a few days. If this occurs, it is best to snip the leaf off and let the plant put its energy into growing a nice new leaf!
