Spathiphyllum Domino, or Peace Lily, is a low maintenance houseplant with stunning green and white marbled leaves and occasional white flowers, which are called spathes. They usually appear in spring and summer, as well as sporadically throughout the year.
It's a very good indoor plant or office plant, capable of removing toxins from the air.
It can grow 60cm high and 30cm wide.
Pot Size: 100mm
Peace lilies like a bright spot out of direct sunshine but will also tolerate some shade. Water regularly, keeping the compost moist but not wet. The leaves have an alarming tendency to droop if the plant is short of water, but the plant usually recovers after a few hours once this is remedied.
Peace lilies are more tolerant of under-watering than over-watering. Water regularly, keeping the compost moist but not wet. If your tap water has a lot of chlorine, leave the water out overnight to allow the chlorine to evaporate.
Spathiphyllum cocc. likes humidity, so you could place the plant on a tray of moist pebbles. Snip off any dead flowers or old, yellow leaves to keep it looking good and repot every spring.
