Philodendron Gigas Giant is a gorgeous variety of Philodendron. It has a very interesting leaf shape that has a copper colour with white veins. As they mature they develop a shimmery, dark green velvety foliage.
The plant must be in a light place, but not in full sun. Direct sunlight can damage the leaves. If the plant too much in the dark or in the shade, the leaves will look for the light and the plant will stands a bit askew. It should be regularly rotated so that the plant will grow straight.
Take care when watering not to over water, allow soil to be free draining and the top few centimetres to dry out between waters.
Water well during the hotter months and keep drier in winter.
Pictured here in a 120mm pot, it will be posted potted.
