Oxalis triangularis is commonly called 'purple shamrock' or 'false shamrock' due to its deep purple triangular leaves.
The leaves close up every night when the light fades and they open up again in the morning.
They are a very easy to grow houseplant and are suitable for beginners.
Oxalis will thrive in bright, indirect light and allow the soil to dry out between waterings.
Oxalis pots need to be deep, shallow pots will not work well. Avoid growing them in a pot with other plants as they can go dormant and their growth requirements are different. As the Oxalis tends to grow and bend towards the light, you should also rotate your pot every 2 weeks to ensure the foliage grows evenly.
It will be sent potted. PLEASE NOTE: The foliage tends to be very limp after being shipped as it does not travel well. We recommend to cut it completely back and let the bulb resprout. Please see the last photos-you will be receiving one bulb.
