Mr. Kitly x Decor Self Watering Plant Pot 215mm Buff
215mm diameter selfwatering plant pot. Designed by award winning Australian designer Richard Carlson, this selfwatering plant pot has been a classic of the indoor plant world since its launch in 1987. Mr Kitly has collaborated with Décor to create an exclusive range of sizes and colours
Instructions for use:
Simply plant your plant in as you would into any pot using good quality potting mix. Water from above the first time to help the potting mix settle in.
Excess water gathers in the waterwell at the bottom. The plant begins to wick up the water it needs from the waterwell via the potting mix. Once the waterwell at the bottom dries out it's time to begin topping up the water via the waterwell at the bottom. Topping up via the waterwell helps the plant get a good airing out between watering.
Don't be afraid to let the waterwell remain dry for a while as well - especially in cold and wet and dark areas when plants don't need as much water and the potting mix remains wetter longer.
In hot and dry and sunny areas you may find the waterwell needing topping up more often as the plant is more thirsty.
Not only is it convenient and looks great, the pot is great way to see how much water is being used and to get to know your plants and their needs!

How We Package Our DIY Terrarium Kits
This is definitely the most asked question we receive!
We have shipped thousands of DIY Terrarium Kits all over Australia in the last three years and 99.99% of them arrive safe and sound. All of our glass is wrapped in bio degradable bubble wrap and boxed in strong cardboard packaging that protects the glass extremely well.
Landfill-biodegradable bubble wrap for protecting and storing items can be recycled or disposed of in the general rubbish bin. Once disposed to landfill biodegradation is accelerated approximately 90+% faster than conventional bubble wrap, producing an organic matter (a natural fertiliser) and no microplastics. Learn more here.
Our plants are sent as plugs that are watered before packaging and can easily survive one week in the post.
Our terrarium supplies are all wrapped in cellophane that can be recycled at some supermarkets through Redcycle.
In the rare instance that your package does arrive damaged, please get in touch with photos of damage and we will happily replace the broken glass for you. Customer happiness is our number one priority.
Would you like to send your order as a gift? No problem at all! We can add a handwritten card for you at no extra charge. Just pop your message in the notes to seller at checkout and we'll make sure to add it.
