Monstera deliciosa is a classic indoor houseplant and it's easy to see why. It has lush, bold foliage that really makes a statement! It's also not too fussy which makes it a staple plant in many homes.
Monstera will thrive in medium to bright filtered light. It likes a warm spot in the house but is not a fan of very shady areas - this will cause it to start reaching for light and getting very leggy, not a good look!
As a rule of thumb, water your kokedama once a week or when it feels light. Adapt the watering depending on the temperature and the ambient humidity: water less frequently in cooler months, more frequently in warmer month. Windy and hot conditions tend to dry the moss ball quicker.
Through the warmer months it will need to be watered at least once a week.
In winter, allow kokedama to fully dry out before watering. This can roughly be every 1-2 weeks.
Add a little bit of diluted soluble fertiliser to watering around once a month in summer.
HOW TO WATER
Fully submerge your kokedama in a bowl, sink or bucket. You may need to hold it under for a moment. Allow to soak for 10-15 minutes until kokedama feels heavy and full.
Next you will need to squeeze the kokedama gently to remove any excess water. Press the sides gently between the palms of your hands and towards the base of the kokedama. Doing this will mean that your kokedama is not waterlogged and it will help to prolong the life of the moss and the twine as these are biodegradable.
We make each Kokedama to order, using the highest quality plants, soil, moss and twine. It will be packed with care instructions in a gift box. Extra twine will also be included to provide you with the option of hanging your kokedama.
Ball diameter is approximately 12-15cm
