This variety of Spathiphyllum wallisii, Sweet Chico is a compact variety and is regarded as one of the most popular indoor plants because it is very easy to grow and very forgiving of neglect. The Sweet Chico has beautiful lush dark green leaves and bright white flowers.

It's a very good indoor plant or office plant, capable of removing toxins from the air.

It can grow 20cm high and 20cm wide.

POSITION

Peace lilies like a bright spot out of direct sunshine but will also tolerate some shade. Water regularly, keeping the compost moist but not wet. The leaves have an alarming tendency to droop if the plant is short of water, but the plant usually recovers after a few hours once this is remedied.

WATER

Peace lilies are more tolerant of under-watering than over-watering. Water regularly, keeping the compost moist but not wet. The leaves have a tendency to droop if the plant is short of water, but the plant usually recovers after a few hours once this is remedied. If your tap water has a lot of chlorine, leave the water out overnight to allow the chlorine to evaporate.

CARE

Spathiphyllum wallisii likes humidity, so you could place the plant on a tray of moist pebbles. Snip off any dead flowers or old, yellow leaves to keep it looking good and repot every spring.

This plant is on the ASPSA's list of plants that are toxic to cats and dogs.

Pictured here in a 130mm pot, it will be shipped potted.
