Alocasia wentii is a hardy, upright perennial with large elephant ear green leaves and contrasting bronze-purple undersides. It is a great foliage feature plant for tropical gardens and indoor spaces. Perfect for decorative pots and containers.
The plant must be in a light place, but not in full sun. Sunlight can damage the leaves. Is the plant too much in the dark or in the shade, the leaves will look for the light and the plant will stands a bit askew. Alocasia should be regularly rotated so that the plant will grow straight.
It loves humidity and prefers moist, well drained soils. It is right at home with ferns and other shade loving plants.
Water well during the hotter months and keep drier in winter.
Pictured here in a 130mm pot, it will be posted potted.
