Dieffenbachia Starbright is an easy to grow indoor plant.
It had beautiful long leaves that have green margins and are speckled creamy-white - a great black to brighten up a dull corner in your home.
Place Dieffenbachia in a warm, humid spot with plenty of light. It will tolerate low-light spots as well - it just won't grow as fast. If the leaves develop brown tips or edges, this is an indication that the air may be too dry. This can be fixed by relocating it to a well-lit bathroom or setting it on a pebble-filled tray of water (so the bottom of the pot rests on the pebbles, above the water to keep the roots from rotting).
Wait until the top 2-3cms of potting mix in the soil are dry before watering and never let it sit in water as this this can cause root rot. Check it regularly as it likes to be kept on the moist side.
Fertilising Dieffenbachia encourages it to grow more and faster. At minimum, it's best to fertilise Diffenbachia once or twice a year.
Note: This plant is toxic to both pets and humans if ingested.
